Buchs cleanroom set for transformation into Sensor Innovation Hub

Buchs - Voters in the canton of St.Gallen have given the green light for the expansion of the Buchs cleanroom, which is jointly operated by OST - Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and RhySearch. This vote has paved the way for the modernization of the cleanroom, thereby preserving jobs at the site, which in future will be known as the Sensor Innovation Hub.

Nussli’s new temporary concert arena in Bogotá to remain

Hüttwilen/Bogotá - Nussli from the canton of Thurgau has built a U-shaped concert arena for 45,000 spectators in the Columbian capital of Bogotá. The punk rock band Green Day was on stage at the sold-out premiere, followed by Shakira. The arena, which was built as a temporary structure, will remain in existence for up to ten years.

Rapperswil-Jona – The OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences has hosted the RobOlympics competition. The event at which 80 children and adolescents present robots they have built themselves took place for the 21st time.

RSTTR offering first fossil-free climbing grip sets

Flawil/St.Gallen/Friedrichshafen - Resetter Climbing (RSTTR) has celebrated a premiere at the Vertical Pro trade fair in Friedrichshafen: For the first time, the start-up established by Auftriib founder Andreas Trunz offered its fossil-free grip sets for climbing walls on a commercial basis. Trunz describes his proprietary development as castable sandstone.
