Frauenfeld - The sensor specialist Baumer has launched a new range of profile sensors on the market. With the OX series, inspection tasks including presence detection and quality control can be implemented in a cost-efficient manner.
(CONNECT) Baumer, the sensor specialist headquartered in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has released a new range of profile sensors. As detailed in a statement, the sensors in the new OX series allow inspection tasks such as presence detection, completeness checks or quality inspection to be completed far more cost-effectively than was possible using previous methods.
The sensors analyze height profiles using an integrated toolset that has been updated and expanded further. The recorded data is analyzed directly within the intelligent sensor, which removes the need for any additional processing units, while profile data can be captured at a precision of up to 5 micrometers.
The new systems are able to perform tasks that were previously the sole domain of high-quality camera systems or multi-sensor solutions. According to information from the company, the OX series is user-friendly and can be connected to other systems via a web interface. This allows for intuitive parameterization of up to 20 tools. The sensors, which feature power-over-ethernet, can be integrated into existing systems. The live visualization of measurements allows users to intuitively control processes in real time. ce/ww
