TIDIT set to launch Eastern Switzerland Digitalization & AI Barometer
Kreuzlingen - The Thurgau Institute for Digital Transformation (TIDIT) is starting a new study on the degree of digital maturity of companies in Eastern Switzerland at the start of November. The Eastern Switzerland Digitalization & AI Barometer is to be conducted on an annual basis.
(CONNECT) TIDIT is keen to determine the digital transformation status of businesses operating in the cantons of Thurgau, St.Gallen, Appenzell Innerrhoden and Appenzell Ausserrhoden in a national comparison. To this end, the affiliated institute of the University of Konstanz and HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences has developed the Eastern Switzerland Digitalization & AI Barometer. This new AI and digitalization study is set to get underway for the first time this November and will in future be carried out on an annual basis, as TIDIT writes in a press release.
“Digital transformation is not an end in and of itself, but rather the key to the future viability of our regional economy”, as TIDIT Managing Director Caroline Obolensky comments in the press release. “The study shows for the first time how digitalization is specifically reflected in everyday business life in Eastern Switzerland and where potential remains untapped”, she adds.
The project is being supported by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Thurgau and St.Gallen-Appenzell. “The study delivers facts rather than gut feelings”, states Markus Bänziger, Director of the St. Gallen-Appenzell Chamber of Industry and Commerce, adding that: “It shows our members where they stand in terms of digitalization and where there is still room for potential improvement in their processes”.
Companies from Eastern Switzerland are invited to take part in the survey being carried out by the research institution DemoSCOPE. The information will be treated confidentially and analyzed on an anonymous basis. Every company will receive an evaluation of its results. ce/hs
