Thurgau company to export cannabis to Canada
Kradolf-Schöneberg TG – Health Canada has granted INDIVA a permit to import cannabis strains from two Swiss companies. Medropharm GmbH and Greenfields Health Care S.A. will supply three cannabis strains in all.
Located in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, Medropharm GmbH specializes in the production of pharmaceutical grade cannabis and cannabis-containing products. Greenfields Health Care S.A. develops phyto-cannabis solutions for individuals with complex pathologies.
According to a press release, the Canadian health company INDIVA has now been granted a permit by Health Canada to import cannabis strains from the two Swiss companies, as had been agreed upon between the companies at the end of 2017.
Under the terms of the agreement, Medropharm and Greenfields Health Care will export three cannabis strains to Canada. The strains are high in cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-psychoactive, and low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.
INDIVA has been given exclusive rights to import, cultivate and sell the three cannabis strains.
High CBD, low THC cannabis strains are in high demand by medical cannabis clients, said Neil Marotta, INDIVA CEO. “By being the exclusive licensed producer of these carefully selected, high-quality strains, we’re able to give our future medical clients the products they are looking for.”
