swissQprint to build new headquarters in the USA
Kriessern/Elgin – swissQprint has announced the construction of its new US headquarters in the state of Illinois. With this project, which relies on sustainable solar power, the manufacturer of large format printers is highlighting its growth strategy in North America.
(CONNECT) swissQprint is building its new US headquarters in West Dundee, Illinois, on a 12,140 square metres site, and is leaving its current US headquarters in Elgin, Illinois. The planned building covers 2,300 square metres and includes a 440-square-metre showroom, a reception area, a special training centre for individual and group training, and 200 sqm dedicated to machine overhaul and service. Compared with the current headquarters in Elgin, office space and storage capacity will be significantly increased. With this project, the manufacturer of large format printers, based in the canton of St.Gallen, is highlighting its commitment to sustainability and installing around 400 solar panels to ensure a sustainable power supply.
“The heart of the new facility is the expanded showroom to feature our large format printers and applications, along with increased capacity for our applications and service teams. All of this designed so that we can deliver exceptional support and experiences for our customers,” said Erik Norman, President of swissQprint America, in a statement. “We continue to see North America as a growth market. This new facility for our US subsidiary is a testament to our commitment to serving our North American customers even better,” added Kilian Hintermann, CEO of swissQprint. In addition to the new headquarters, swissQprint’s US subsidiary operates a demo centre in Irvine, California.
The new project is expected to be completed in mid-2026. The site also offers around 1,400 square metres of space for additional extensions. ce/ja
