Metrohm announces market launch of i-Raman NxG
Herisau – The process analytics specialist Metrohm AG has added the laboratory Raman spectrometer i-Raman NxG to its range. In combination with the SpecSuite software developed in parallel, this instrument is intended to enable next-generation quality control measurements.
(CONNECT) Metrohm has launched a new laboratory Raman spectrometer, as the company from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden announced in a press release. This explains that the i-Raman NxG is designed to deliver precision quality control results faster through greater measurement and sampling flexibility. The i-Raman NxG fiber optic probe is compatible with a wide array of accessories, including a vial holder, cuvette holder, electrode holder and immersion probe. The i-Raman NxG is available in three different excitation wavelength options. Even more comprehensive spectral information is provided by the i-Raman Duo configuration, which utilizes two lasers and a single detector to offer the broadest range of data for precise analysis.
Alongside the spectrometer, Metrohm introduced its proprietary SpecSuite software, an all-in-one platform that facilitates Raman measurements from exploratory research to routine testing. The software receives modules for Explore real-time data visualization, creates robust calibration models and streamlines on-site quality controls. The Metrohm Comprehensive Raman Library containing over 27,000 compounds is also integrated to identify components of the samples.
“The i-Raman NxG with SpecSuite software expands the capabilities of laboratories across industries, from factories to universities,” commented Nancy Morris, President and CEO at Metrohm Spectro. “With the i-Raman Duo, samples can be analyzed using the broadest range of data available. SpecSuite software transforms the challenge of model development into a streamlined, efficient analysis process.” ce/ja.
