Abraxas and VRSG merger nears completion
St.Gallen – The IT company Abraxas has founded a new holding company together with Verwaltungsrechenzentrum AG St. Gallen (VRSG). The intent is to merge it with both subsidiaries next year in order to complete the merger of the two companies.
Abraxas-VRSG Holding AG was founded on 30 November. Its shareholders and those of the future merged company are the owners of Abraxas and the shareholders of VRSG. The new company will be created over the course of the coming year by merging the holding company with both subsidiaries. Its aim is to become “the leading provider of integrated IT solutions for public administration”, says Abraxas, an IT company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea.
Board members from Abraxas and VRSG have also been newly appointed, and the board members of the holding company now also form the boards of the two companies. The president of all three boards is Eduard Gasser, who already holds this position at VRSG.
“We will continue to advance the preparation work for the merger so that we can shape the vision of digital administration from 2018 onwards as a leading IT service provider for public administration,” said Gasser.
