Bühler and Agthia Group build culinary capabilities in the UAE

Uzwil/Abu Dhabi - The Agthia Group and Bühler from the Swiss canton of St.Gallen are launching the Agthia Academy powered by Bühler to offer training in milling, baking, and production optimization. The institution aims to strengthen national culinary expertise and contribute to food security in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

(CONNECT) The Agthia Group from Abu Dhabi and Bühler AG, which is based in Uzwil in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, have jointly launched the Agthia Academy powered by Bühler, according to a statement. It offers training for entrepreneurs, operators, and aspiring professionals from the United Arab Emirates in milling, baking, and production optimization. The goal is to build national expertise across the food value chain while strengthening the UAE’s national food security.

The academy trains students through a combined program of classroom-based learning, hands-on technical training, and international exposure. It is conducted at Agthia Group facilities in Abu Dhabi and at the Bühler Group’s global training centers in Switzerland. With its expertise in food production, Bühler can offer participants access to advanced technologies, modern production processes, and in-depth industry know-how, according to the statement. Academically, the Agthia Academy is supported by targeted partnerships with institutions such as the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, and the Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches.
