Brauerei Locher is the new producer of LOLA drinks

Bern/Appenzell - Brauerei Locher has been the new producer and filler of the LOLA drinks brand from CONTACT since the start of 2025. With the Swiss producer, the drinks can now be produced in a more resource-efficient manner and offered under the Swissness label.

(CONNECT) The CONTACT foundation for addiction support from Bern has relocated the entire production of its drinks brand LOLA to its new partner in Switzerland since January 1, 2025, as detailed in a press release. The drinks are now being produced and filled by Brauerei Locher, a brewery based in Appenzell in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden. In this way, the drinks can be produced more sustainably and offered under the Swissness label.

Up to now, the drinks were produced in Germany: Soft drinks in the Southern Black Forest and non-alcoholic beers in Nittenau in Bavaria. With the complete relocation of production activities to Brauerei Locher, the LOLA brand can now make its vision of local production a reality. “When LOLA Cola was first launched, we wanted to base production in Switzerland, but were unable to find a suitable partner at the time. Now, a decade later, the time has finally come”, as Daniel König, Operations Manager at LOLA and co-founder of the beverage brand, comments in the press release.

According to König, Brauerei Locher was chosen as the new producer of LOLA on account of their shared values. The brewery focuses on resource-efficient production, local ingredients and innovative processes, making it a suitable partner for the drinks brand. “Together, our aim is to brew high-quality beers as sustainably as possible”, König states.

According to information from the foundation, the aesthetic and taste of the LOLA drinks will remain largely unchanged despite the move to new production facilities. Only the label format and bottle shapes have been changed slightly, the press release explains. ce/nta
