Ampack presents non-combustible substitute for construction membranes

Rorschacherberg - Ampack is presenting its non-combustible range of roof and façade membranes, adhesive tapes and vapor checks to replace conventional construction membranes. The product range featuring the first genuine non-combustible vapor check is intended to set new standards in high-rise buildings, special-purpose constructions and ventilated façades.

(CONNECTAmpack AG, which according to its own information is the leading supplier of sealing solutions for building envelopes in Central Europe, is presenting its new non-combustible range of roof and façade membranes, adhesive tapes and vapor checks. According to a press release, the vapor check is the first product of its kind in the world. The products reportedly do not contribute to the fire load and are therefore a fire-safe alternative to conventional Class B or E construction membranes, which release toxic smoke in fire situations.

The range includes the world’s first “genuine, non-combustible vapor check with an sd value of 50 m” in the shape of the high-performance membrane, the Ampatex A primo plus. The membrane reflects heat, keeps insulation securely in place and, for the first time, offers building-physical moisture protection, according to Ampack AG.

Ampack is also presenting two roof and façade membranes, namely the Ampatop A silver plus and Ampatop A black. According to the company, the Ampatop A silver plus is the ideal solution for ventilated façades and installation beneath photovoltaic systems, while the Ampatop A black proves to be a particularly “elegant” solution for ventilated structures and buildings with energy generation systems. The system-compatible adhesive tapes Ampacoll A Tape silver and Ampacoll A Tape black round off the portfolio of fire protection products for reliable joints and surface bonding.

In future, the product range is intended to set new fire protection standards in high-rise buildings, special-purpose constructions and ventilated façades. Moreover, the company is seeking to offer planning security for stakeholders within the construction sector in addition to sending a clear signal for safety in this industry. ce/ja
