Zühlke and HSG publish white paper on AI in the pharma sector

St.Gallen/Schlieren - Zühlke and the University of St.Gallen (HSG) have published a white paper on the use of artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical sector as part of a strategic partnership. The aim is to help life sciences companies achieve operational excellence in their digital transformation.

(CONNECTZühlke, the innovation service provider based in Schlieren in the Swiss canton of Zurich, and HSG have published a white paper as part of a strategic partnership, providing concrete guidance and practical frameworks for the use of AI in the pharmaceutical sector. The aim of the partnership is to enable pharmaceutical companies to achieve operational excellence in their use of AI in order to reliably meet regulatory requirements and improve product quality. 

According to a statement from Zühlke, the pharmaceutical industry is at a turning point in production: while drug development is advancing rapidly, labor-intensive quality controls, inflexible production lines, regulatory hurdles, and vulnerable supply chains are slowing down operations.

Together, HSG's operational excellence benchmarking, whose database contains insights from over 450 production sites worldwide including 18 of the 20 pharmaceutical companies with the highest turnover, and Zühlke's expertise in digitalization and AI solutions are intended to provide targeted support to the sector. “Together, we will tailor digitalisation and automation solutions to address real-world performance gaps and empower our clients to deliver on their mission to patients,” Angeli Möller, Chief Health Officer at Zühlke, is quoted as saying.
