WIR Bank invests in PropTech firm Vermando

Herisau/Basel – The Basel-based cooperative WIR Bank has made an investment in the start-up Vermando. This offers property owners the chance to access information regarding renovation projects via an online platform.

Vermando operates the HausHeld.ch platform, via which property owners are able to access information on products and services in connection with renovation projects. The start-up from the St.GallenBodenseeArea is striving to attain market leadership in this segment within Switzerland, as detailed by a press release issued by WIR Bank. This cooperative has a shareholding in the PropTech firm, thereby expanding its digital ecosystem.

“We are now benefitting from additional impulses through the WIR network and from WIR Bank’s expertise”, comments Claudius Habisreutinger, co-founder and co-CEO of Vermando, in the press release, before adding: “We bring to the table many daily contacts with homeowners whose properties are currently in need of renovation. These are very promising synergies”.

Paul Preiss, the other co-founder and co-CEO of Vermando, explains that the company is now planning to expand the SME network associated with the HausHeld.ch platform and launch new products and services, which will predominantly focus on themes such as building administration and management.
