SumUp and Atlanto join forces for payments and accounting
St.Gallen/London - SumUp and Atlanto will from now on be jointly offering their payment solutions and accounting tools. In so doing, they are seeking to above all support small and micro retailers.
The London-based payment service provider SumUp has entered into a strategic partnership with Atlanto, a start-up from the St.GallenBodenseeArea. According to a press release, the companies are now planning to offer SumUp’s payment solutions and Atlanto’s accounting tools in one package. By seamlessly integrating the two solutions, the companies are seeking to remove the responsibility for handling such a complicated technical merger from small entrepreneurs in particular, in addition to continuing the ecosystem concept in general.
In specific terms, this means for users that payments made via SumUp card readers automatically end up in Atlanto’s software. This enables up-to-date accounting and removes the need for transactions to be manually transferred. “Thanks to the partnership, we are simplifying work processes and allowing our mutual customers to spend more time on the essentials”, explains Oliver Baumann, Managing Director at Atlanto, in the press release.
Atlanto is a spin-off from Helvetia Insurance. The digital platform has been simplifying office activities such as invoicing, time and contact recording and accounting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups since 2020.
Since 2014, SumUp has been offering micro and small entrepreneurs simple payment solutions such as small, inexpensive card readers that add the functionality of a card terminal to smartphones and tablets. “Both companies want to create a world where entrepreneurs can successfully do what they love”, explains Michael Schrezenmaier, CEO Europe at SumUp, in the press release, adding that: “This cooperation simplifies the day-to-day working life for numerous committed and motivated entrepreneurs in Switzerland”. ko
