Stieger to become part of Imaweb

Staad SG – The software provider Stieger is being taken over by the internationally operating Imaweb. With this deal, Stieger hopes to usher in a new phase of growth. The company develops software solutions for the automotive industry.

Based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, Stieger Software AG develops software solutions for garages and the automotive trade as well as boatyards. Now, however, “Switzerland’s leading automotive software specialist” is to become part of Imaweb, details of which can be found in a press release. The focus of Imaweb’s activities is on developing solutions for the European automotive industry, with the company operating out of headquarters located in the Spanish capital Madrid in addition to Lyon in France.

“In Imaweb, we believe we’ve found the right partner to take Stieger forward and ensure the company’s continued success over the coming years”, comments founder and CEO Eugen Stieger in the press release, before adding: “The Stieger team are excited to join Imaweb as the company enters the next phase of its growth”.

Stieger Software AG was founded in 1982 and today employs a team of 60 staff members in Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia. Automotive manufacturers including Mercedes, Volkswagen, Renault and Toyota all use the software solutions developed by the company. “We believe that the company’s innovative technology will bring an added edge to our existing offering to OEMs and dealerships across Europe”, explains Patrick Prajs, CEO of Imaweb.

No details were disclosed with regard to the financial terms of the takeover. Eugen Stieger will now be stepping back from the business.
