St.Gallen launches new guide for start-ups
St.Gallen - The canton of St.Gallen has set up a new guide for start-ups. This online portal allows entrepreneurs and founders to develop their business models and complete the process of establishing their company digitally.
(CONNECT) The canton of St.Gallen has launched a new start-up guide. The online portal, which can be reached at startupguide.sg.ch, is the cantonal government’s attempt to implement an important milestone in its support strategy for start-ups, as detailed in a statement.
At the heart of the portal is a digital business registration platform, which is designed to allow founders to establish their companies digitally – any time, anywhere. All of the required documents are generated in compliance with legal requirements, while the necessary signatures can be provided digitally as well. Entries into the commercial register are automatically handled online. The new portal means that company founders need not visit a notary or the local council. Beyond these registration processes, users have access to tools for formulating and reviewing business models and creating business plans.
The tool, which has been developed on behalf of the canton by the IFJ, an institute that offers support for start-ups, is open to all interested parties and complements the start-up advisory services of the canton of St.Gallen in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona and St.Gallen.
The digital business founding platform is part of a government initiative aimed at making the growing industry and training location of St.Gallen more attractive and developing it into an innovation hub, as the canton explains further in its statement. ce/ww
