St.Gallen/Zurich - Sportradar and the international football association FIFA have expanded their partnership for another five years until 2031. Sportradar supports FIFA in bet monitoring and risk assessment with services powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
(CONNECT) The Zurich-based world football association FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) has extended and expanded its contract for integrity services with Sportradar Group AG of St.Gallen for a further five years until 2031, as was reported in a statement. The sports technology company says it wants to create immersive experiences for sports fans and bettors. The two partners also want to reinforce their partnership to safeguard the integrity of football worldwide.
As part of the renewed partnership, Sportradar will reportedly provide comprehensive AI-driven bet-monitoring services. The agreement now also includes expanded intelligence and investigation support and dedicated risk assessment services for both FIFA and its 211 member associations. According to the statement, these additions further strengthen FIFA’s ability to identify, assess and respond to integrity risks across a broad and evolving global betting and competition landscape.
“The expansion of our integrity agreement with FIFA further strengthens the ability to identify, assess and respond to risks in an increasingly complex global picture. It underlines both organisations commitment to fair and clean sport at all levels globally,” said Andreas Krannich, EVP Integrity Services at Sportradar. Since the start of the partnership in 2017, Sportradar has monitored more than 600,000 matches globally on behalf of FIFA through the company’s proprietary Universal Fraud Detection Service (UFDS AI).
Sportradar states it is a leading global sports technology company. Its Integrity Services department focuses on combating betting-related match manipulation, including through AI-powered Universal Fraud Detection System built using more than 20 years of historical data. ce/ja
