Sonepar acquires EHS Switzerland

St.Gallen/Hitzkirch - Sonepar Suisse AG has acquired EHS Switzerland. The move will enable the St.Gallen-based electrical wholesaler to add industrial automation to its portfolio.

Electrical wholesaler Sonepar, which is located in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen, has announced its acquisition of EHS Switzerland. According to a press release, the takeover of the Hitzkirch-based company will allow Sonepar to add industrial automation to its portfolio – a sector in which EHS has played a leading role to date. The two companies believe the merger will enable market growth and create multiple synergy effects, adds the press release.

Ronald Grolimund, one of the previous owners of EHS Switzerland AG, will continue to act as Managing Director of the business. The Hitzkirch site in the canton of Lucerne and EHS’s employees will be retained in the merger.
