Sefar recognized as TOP Training Enterprise
Heiden - Sefar AG has achieved the first certification stage of the TOP Training Enterprise foundation. This confirms that the technology company for fabric-based filtration fulfils the quality standards for vocational training defined by the Federal Council.
(CONNECT) Sefar AG is now able to describe itself as a TOP Training Enterprise. As the manufacturer of precision fabrics has now announced, in December 2025 it received Level 1 certification from the foundation, which is based in Zofingen in the Swiss canton of Aargau and is also called TOP Training Enterprise. The company is headquartered in Heiden in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and sees this recognition as “confirmation of the path it has pursued”, through which it seeks to individually support young talents and prepare them in targeted fashion for a successful professional future.
TOP Training Enterprise sees itself as a support system with low entry barriers, thereby ensuring that companies have more straightforward access to certification services. Level 1 certifications are renewed every three years. Companies can freely choose whether they wish to go on and seek Level 2 or Level 3 certifications. This system, which is unique in Switzerland, was awarded the ENTERPRIZE award in 2017 and is recommended by the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training.
As Sefar underlines in the statement, this recognition is far from a foregone conclusion. It is said to be based on measurable criteria such as structured onboarding and regular feedback sessions, as well as being contingent on having instructors trained in educational matters and modern learning materials. In addition, the company explains that offerings such as project work, mentoring programs and training in occupational health and safety also come into play. Moreover, Sefar states that the company’s concept includes “transparent communication and genuine co-determination, in addition to fair compensation and clear career prospects after completing an apprenticeship”. ce/mm
