SwissPrimePack acquired by säntis
Rüthi/Altstätten SG – Plastic packaging manufacturer säntis packaging ag has acquired plastics processor SwissPrimePack. With this, säntis packaging is expanding its product and customer portfolio.
A company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea, säntis packaging ag develops plastic packaging, including coffee capsules and sheets for food. Its services cover the entire process, from idea to design, tool construction, production and refinement to logistics. This means processes such as filling at the customer’s site can be handled by säntis packaging ag. Packaging with barrier properties like coffee capsules are at the heart of säntis’ product range. Now, the company has acquired plastic food packaging producer SwissPrimePack, as was reported in a press release.
“The acquisition strengthens our position in the Swiss market and serves to expand our product and customer portfolio,” said Bettina Fleisch, CEO and owner of säntis packaging. “Our declared goal is to continue to grow together in Europe and to use synergetic energies for the development of sustainable packaging solutions.”
SwissPrimePack opened its head office in Altstätten in 1970 and began mass production of vending cups and yogurt pots at this site. To this day, the company specializes in the manufacture of packaging for dairy products. In addition to Altstätten, SwissPrimePack has a production facility at Niederuzwil in St.Gallen. jh
