(CONNECTS. Müller Holzbau AG from Wil in the canton of St.Gallen, Switzerland, has been named as the winner of the Artisana Award 2025. According to a press release, the company has won the award, which comes with prize money of 10,000 Swiss francs, in recognition of its internal workplace health promotion efforts. The Artisana Foundation from the canton of Bern has been presenting this health promotion award on an annual basis since 2005, so as to promote the combination of commitment to workplace health and sustainability.

S. Müller Holzbau was founded in 2008 through a management buyout. From the outset, there was a real emphasis on aspects such as workplace environment, employee health and lean management. This has led to a strong participatory culture that involves employees in decision-making processes, for example on something referred to as an “S-Plus Day” when the focus is brainstorming rather than production activities. The synergy effects arising from all these factors were the reason behind the Artisana Foundation opting to award this year’s prize to S. Müller Holzbau AG.

“For us, it’s not just about perfect timber constructions, but above all about the people who create them, as well as the people who will live and work in them”, as Managing Director Stefan Müller comments in the press release. “People are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to ensure that our employees are motivated and remain healthy. And for our customers, too, experience and satisfaction are of paramount importance”. ce/ww
