Raiffeisen now boasts positive outlook

St.Gallen – Moody’s rating agency has improved the outlook for Raiffeisen Schweiz. Rather than stable, the banking group has now been assigned a positive outlook. Moody’s highlighted its successful reform over the past few years.

The ratings agency Moody’s has raised the outlook of Raiffeisen Schweiz from stable to positive, as was reported in a press release. Additionally, other ratings assigned by Moody’s were improved too. Specifically, the long-term counterparty risk rating (from A3 to A2), the short-term counterparty risk rating (from P2 to P1) and the counterparty risk assessment (from A2(cr) to A1(cr)).

The Bank is reportedly delighted about the “excellent rating result”, highlighting the good result achieved by Raiffeisen Schweiz for 2020. Moody’s justified its decision as the banking group’s financial results have remained unvaryingly positive. The Group strategy “Raiffeisen 2025” launched for the diversification of business areas and the successful reform of recent years were cited as further reasons. The positive development was bolstered by the banking group’s expectation that it will again achieve good business results in the current year, despite the persistently difficult environment.

Moody’s latest assessment is rounded off with ratings for long-term deposit and senior unsecured debt. Here, the agency confirmed the ratings of Aa3 and A3. jh
