Prix SVC Eastern Switzerland 2026 goes to Tisca Tschhauser
Stettlen/Bühler - Tisca Tischhauser AG based in Bühler has won this year’s Prix SVC Eastern Switzerland. Alongside the textile company, Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG, optrel, zeintra and Velosolutions Schweiz GmbH all made it into the final.
(CONNECT) Tisca Tischhauser AG has won the Prix SVC Eastern Switzerland 2026. The Swiss Venture Club (SVC) from Stettlen in the canton of Bern has now awarded its prize to support regional entrepreneurship for the 12th time. The winner Tisca Tischhauser specializes in carpets, curtains, upholstery and decorative fabrics, as well as textile coverings for various applications. The family-owned company, founded in 1940 and based in Bühler in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, currently employs around 400 staff and primarily manufactures in Switzerland, as SVC explains in a statement covering the award presentation. “Tisca is living proof that there is certainly still life in the textile industry of Eastern Switzerland”, as Andrea Fanzun, president of the expert jury, commented in his address.
At the award ceremony, which was hosted by the exhibition and trade center Olma-Messen St.Gallen, the remaining four finalists for this year’s prize were recognized alongside Tisca. Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG from Flawil in the canton of St.Gallen was honored as a traditional chocolate factory with a rich heritage of artisanal chocolate making. The supplier of welding and respiratory protection products, optrel AG from Wattwil in the canton of St.Gallen, impressed the jury with its innovative spirit and technological passion.
The technical brush expert zeintra AG from Wil, also in the canton of St.Gallen, stood out on account of its strong regional anchoring and commitment to protected and supported employment opportunities. Velosolutions Schweiz GmbH from Flims in the canton of Graubünden, a specialist in pump tracks, bike parks and mountain bike trails, won admiration for its “Pump for Peace” project and as an organizer of the Pump Track World Championship. The finalists, which operate across a wide range of business sectors, were described by Christoph Zeller, President of the Organizing Committee for the Prix SVC Eastern Switzerland, as representing “the variety and high performance of Eastern Switzerland’s SME landscape”, in addition to exemplifying “entrepreneurial continuity, a drive for innovation, and strong regional ties”. ce/hs
