Osteotec to distribute icotec implants
Altstätten/Newbury - Osteotec has concluded a commercial agreement with the St.Gallen-based company icotec. The UK distribution company for medical devices will now be responsible for distributing non-metallic spinal implants developed by icotec on the UK market.
(CONNECT) Osteotec, a trading company based in Newbury, England, will from now on be responsible for distributing non-metallic spinal implants developed by icotec in the UK. As detailed in a press release, the agreement between the English distribution firm and the implant manufacturer from the St.GallenBodenseeArea entered into force on May 8, 2025.
Icotec produces radiolucent spinal implants made of BlackArmor Carbon/PEEK. These non-metallic materials offer the advantage that neither post-operative diagnoses nor radiation therapy are compromised by metallic materials.
