St.GallenBodenseeArea-based events and construction service provider Nüssli has announced in a press release that it will once again be the general contractor for construction of the Austrian pavilion at a world exhibition – this time Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The exhibition will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025. BWM Designers & Architects is responsible for the architectural design and general theme of the Austrian pavilion.

Visitors to the Austrian pavilion will be able to explore an exhibition space measuring 270 square meters. Themed Compose the Future, the exhibition will take visitors from the past to the future with music as the supporting medium, explains Nüssli’s press release. The centrepiece will be a “spectacular spiral sculpture that rises majestically into the air”. Inside, the exhibition hall will be divided into three rooms focusing on the themes of relationships, people, and ideas.

“We are delighted to be implementing the pavilion for Austria for the sixth time,” says Andy Böckli, CEO of Nüssli. “The project has almost become a tradition and has allowed us to act as a connecting element for innovation regularly since 2005.” Nüssli has also released a video that shows how the company will benefit from 23 years of experience in building country pavilions for world exhibitions. ce/ww
