New CEO of Schoeller plans next chapter in success story

Sevelen SG - Schoeller Textil AG has a new CEO. Joachim Kath is taking over from Siegfried Winkelbeiner, who is retiring. His successor plans to continue to back innovation and meet changing demands with exceptional products.

Schoeller, a textile manufacturer based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has “successfully weathered” crises over recent years such as the appreciation of the Swiss franc and the current pandemic according to a press release. It goes on to say that with Siegfried Winkelbeiner as the CEO, the team has pulled together and established the company as a leader of innovation. Winkelbeiner is now retiring. His successor is the current COO, Joachim Kath, who has been preparing for his new duties in close collaboration with Winkelbeiner since February 2020.

Kath studied Chemical Engineering and has worked at BASF in Basel, among other companies, during his professional career. Kath is quoted in the press release, saying: “The common thread running through all my assignments and business activities is process orientation, interest in new paths, and an instinct for what is feasible – with the goal of achieving customer benefits and satisfaction.” He plans to continue on the path determined by Winkelbeiner, writing a new chapter in the company’s success story, and also achieving future innovations. According to the press release, Schoeller Textil AG can thereby continue to meet the changing demands of the market with exceptional products while evolving.
