Metrohm optimizes OMNIS software

Herisau - Metrohm, from Herisau in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, is optimizing its OMNIS laboratory data analysis software. The new version will feature cloud-based services and enable connection to third-party devices as well as third-party laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

(CONNECTMetrohm AG, a manufacturer of precision instruments for chemical analysis from the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has launched a new version of its OMNIS laboratory data analysis software. The updated version of OMNIS enables cloud-based collaboration between up to 1,000 clients, offering centralized management of data, devices, standard procedures, and users, according to a statement.

The new system allows offline work and storage for up to 96 hours, with data uploaded centrally after reconnecting to the server so that samples can even be processed over the weekend. A REST interface enables connection to third-party devices such as laboratory scales or customer-specific computer solutions for extensive sample analysis. OMNIS 3rd Party Data Integration is an interface that enables secure data exchange with third-party laboratory software.

Metrohm is offering the new version with a five-year warranty and support. During this period, no new functions requiring requalification and revalidation processes will be added to the OMNIS LTS (Long Term Support) version. ce/ww
