(CONNECTMaestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG, a 170-year-old family-owned company from Flawil in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen, is continuing to drive its strategic growth. The company is known for its Munz, Minor and Avelines brands and recently expanded its product range with the new Munz Weiss and Minor Crunchy bars. In 2025, Maestrani also acquired the Chocolat Ammann brand as well as the Belgian praline manufacturer Delafaille, which is based in Beveren. According to a statement, the company has therefore strengthened its position as a leading company in the area of top quality Swiss chocolate brands. The Minor brand will also be celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2026.

The Minor Crunchy supplements the Minor chocolate range as another new vegan option alongside the Minor Almond. The new Munz White bar is an extension of the classic Prügeli Weiss under the Munz brand. “With innovative strength and a great deal of passion for chocolate, we are further developing our classics – for unique moments of indulgence that consistently delight our customers time and time again”, comments Valentin Haag, Head of Marketing at Maestrani, in another statement.

With the acquisition of Chocolat Ammann, Maestrani has successfully contributed to the “diversity and strengthening of the Swiss chocolate brand landscape” and managed to secure the brand’s continued existence, as detailed in a statement. For its part, the acquisition of Delafaille represents an important milestone in Maestrani's international expansion. This deal allowed Maestrani to expand its product range to include Belgian praline and truffle specialties in addition to bolstering its international market presence.

Maestrani is one of the five finalists in the Prix SVC Eastern Switzerland 2026, which is set to be presented on March 5, 2026, in St.Gallen. ce/nta
