Lista Office LO designing educational environments

Degersheim - Lista Office LO is striving to promote change within the education sector. To achieve this, the office furniture manufacturer from Degersheim in the canton of St.Gallen offers a selection of light and mobile furniture. The company is aiming to transform the traditional classroom into a flexible learning landscape.

Lista Office LO has set up a new business field as a concept partner for educational institutions. The mandatory introduction of “curriculum 21” in German-speaking Switzerland is associated with new didactic approaches that take into account the individual learning behavior of each student, the office furniture manufacturer from Degersheim writes in a press release. Lista Office LO is seeking to play its part in this by offering a range of light and mobile furniture solutions.

The company’s school furniture is equipped with castors so that the students themselves can easily move it around the room. The individual tables can be linked together using magnetic connections. Patrick Becker, Lista Office's project manager for development, explains: “This creates modern learning environments that increasingly resemble contemporary office spaces.” As a result, a smooth transition between different forms of work is easily achieved and the adaptable environment also impacts the motivation of the students.

The furniture in the LO Education range is developed by Lista Office in collaboration with teachers, architects and education experts. Following the Switzerland-wide launch of the LO Solo and LO Edge plus models in July of this year, Lista Office is currently working on further models, which are set to be available on the market at some point next year.
