Leica Geosystems develops new total stations

Heerbrugg SG – Precision device and measurement technology company Leica Geosystems has developed a new generation of total stations. The tachymeters will help simplify workflows.

With Leica iCON iCB50 and iCB70, Leica Geosystems has developed two new manual total stations, as the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea reported in a press release. These devices are the “next generation” and will facilitate the shift from analogue to digital for those working in the construction industry. For this reason, the Leica iCON build software is a key component of the new tachymeters. It allows users to easily digitalize and embed Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows in their construction processes, enabling professionals to layout complex structures with great accuracy.

The new manual total stations have been specially developed to withstand any building construction environments and are guaranteed to always achieve high productivity and accuracies. These devices have the same integrated iCON build field software as other products across the Leica portfolio, providing a simple dataflow, as Shane O’Regan, product expert at Leica Geosystems, explained in the press release.
