Jakob Schlaepfer and Forster Willi provide a finishing touch to Golden Globes outfits

St.Gallen/Beverly Hills - Several stars wore dresses from renowned fashion houses such as Chanel, Prada and Louis Vuitton to this year's Golden Globes. Many of these dresses were finished with embroidery carried out by Jakob Schlaepfer and Forster Willi. Both companies are owned by Forster Rohner.

(CONNECT) According to a statement, the Louis Vuitton dress worn by rapper Lalisa Manobal, the Vivienne Westwood design for actress Ariana Grande, and the delicate tulle from Jean Louis Scherrer donned by Jennifer Lopez all share something in common: their dresses for this year's Golden Globes were finished with embroidery by Jakob Schlaepfer and Forster Willi. Both traditional ateliers are owned by the St. Gallen-based Forster Rohner Group.

Whether white guipure lace made from lotus blossoms with a variety of floral elements by Forster Willi or shiny sequins and delicate embroidery from Jakob Schlaepfer – many renowned haute couture fashion houses, including Chanel, Prada or Yves Saint Laurent, for example, rely on the traditional craftsmanship offered by the St.Gallen workshops.

Forster Willi was founded back in 1904 and is today under fourth-generation management. The Forster Rohner division adds embroidery to lingerie, prêt-à-porter and haute couture designs. Jakob Schlaepfer was also founded over a century ago. With its fabrics, the company seeks to combine St.Gallen’s reputation as a traditional textiles location with visionary design. ce/ww
