Huber+Suhner acquires Inwave Elektronik
Herisau AR – Huber+Suhner is acquiring Inwave Elektronik AG in Reute in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. The acquisition will allow the electrical engineering company to strengthen its expertise in the radio frequency systems business.
According to a statement from Huber+Suhner, Inwave Elektronik AG specializes in microwave and RF-over-fibre solutions. The latter is the conversion of radio frequency to analogue fibre optic signals and vice versa, which are often used in GPS solutions. Huber+Suhner explains that the acquisition is “specifically to strengthen its expertise in the radio frequency systems business”.
Inwave Elektronik AG is an owner-managed company with four employees. Huber+Suhner expects to complete the integration of the company into its Radio Frequency division in Herisau by the end of 2018. Both parties have agreed to treat the financial details of the transaction as confidential, and no information has yet been released regarding the plans for the company’s management in the future.
In addition to radio frequency systems, the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea also specializes in fibre optics and low frequency technologies to create solutions for a range of applications, including communication, transportation and industrial.
