HSG named as the best business school in the DACH region

St.Gallen/London - In this year’s rankings of the best European business schools compiled by the Financial Times, the University of St.Gallen (HSG) ranks in 9th place. It is therefore also the top-ranked business school in the German-speaking DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region. Another five business schools from Switzerland made the top 100.

HSG has once again been included in the top ten of Europe’s best business schools. As HSG writes in a press release, this ranking reflects its all-round strength. The European Business School Rankings are produced on an annual basis by the “Financial Times”. HSG ranks in top spot for the evaluation of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Four of its programs were specifically highlighted: The Masters of Management (SIM-HSG), the full-time MBA (MBA-HSG), the Executive MBA (EMBA-HSG) and the Custom & Open Executive Education programmes (ES-HSG).

The league table compiled by the “Financial Times” is based on an annual survey of business schools and their alumni. In total, 100 business schools from right across Europe are examined. For this, criteria such as the quality of faculty and salary are taken into account. INSEAD, which is based in France, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, was ranked in first place overall, followed by HEC Paris and the London Business School.

A further five Swiss business schools performed well in this year’s ranking. After HSG, the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne claimed a highly respectable 14th place. Its customer-focused further education programs are ranked in third place in a European comparison, with the open executive education programs in 8th place, the Executive MBA in 9th position, and the full-time MBA in 11th place.

HEC Lausanne is ranked in 51st place this year, while the ZHAW School of Management and Law as part of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur finished in 62nd place overall. The University of Zurich claimed 81st place, with the Lucerne School of Business at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 96th position overall. ce/mm
