Hostpoint launches new data transfer service with File Express
Rapperswil-Jona - Hostpoint AG has launched a new data transfer solution in the shape of File Express. For this, servers located in Switzerland are exclusively used to facilitate the flow of data.
(CONNECT) Hostpoint from Rapperswil-Jona in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen, has launched a Swiss alternative to file transfer services: File Express. As the company explains in a statement by referencing a representative survey carried out by intervista, two thirds of Swiss people already make use of file-sharing platforms. However, the survey also reveals that users want “additional security features and more useful functionality”. For 80 percent of respondents, this includes the requirement that data is stored in Switzerland when using file transfer services.
Hostpoint is now meeting this need with File Express. For example, the new platform is hosted “entirely in Switzerland”. Users can send files free of charge without even needing to sign up, although registering does unlock additional features, such as transfer management and password protection. Moreover, subscriptions offer paid features including extra storage space and geo-blocking.
