Griesser presents solar-powered shading solutions

Aadorf - Griesser, a company specializing in sun protection solutions that can be used on buildings, is launching a rolling shutter and two facade awnings with solar motors on the market. These products are particularly well suited to remodeling or renovation projects.

Griesser AG is launching its sustainable and easy-to-install sun protection products for windows and terraces, further details of which can be found in a press release. The family business from Aadorf in the canton of Thurgau, which was originally founded way back in 1882, is bringing a solar-powered roller shutter and two awnings onto the market in the form of the Renobloc Solar, Solozip Solar and Solocreen Solar.

Renobloc Solar is a front-mounted rolling shutter that offers a high degree of shading. It can be installed under existing headers or directly onto a facade during remodeling or renovation projects. Its box protects the shutter and the mechanics from the weather.

The vertically installed Solozip Solar facade awning comes with a zip that is welded to the fabric. This holds the cloth in the guides along the entire height. This version, which comes either with or without a solar option, can withstand particularly high winds of up to 92 kilometers per hour.

Soloscreen Solar is another vertical awning, which is also available in numerous colorways. According to Griesser, this makes it ideally suited to being used as a design element for modern architecture. The Renobloc rolling shutter is already available now, while the Solozip facade awning and Soloscreen vertical awning will be available from mid-January and February 2024 respectively.

The radio-controlled motors used in all models come with obstacle detection and frost protection functions. They are activated using a remote control or the Somfy smart home control system. The solar products work for 30 days in the absence of direct sunlight when opened and closed twice per day, the company writes in the press release.

Griesser carries out its manufacturing activities at proprietary plants in Switzerland, Austria and France, and sells its products in more than 20 countries. In total, the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea employs around 1,500 staff, of whom roughly 800 are based in Switzerland. ce/mm
