Griesser nominated for architecture prize
Aadorf - Thurgau-based Griesser AG has been nominated for the Architects’ Choice 2023, awarded by the Callwey Verlag publishing house, for its Solozip zip vertical awning. Solozip was among the products most frequently chosen by architects entering the “Houses of the Year” competition as one of their best solutions.
Griesser AG has been nominated for the Architects’ Choice 2023 as part of the Houses of the Year competition organized by Munich-based Callwey Verlag publishing house. According to a press release, Griesser’s Solozip zip vertical awning was among the products mentioned most often by participating architects as one of the five products to have a major impact on their projects. The winners of both competitions will be announced at the Best of Architecture Summit in October 2023 in Munich and presented in Callwey’s annual “Houses of the Year” book.
According to Griesser, Solozip stands out for its “excellent solar shading and high wind stability”. The zip vertical awning provides shading for windows in both residential and commercial buildings.

Anton Griesser founded Griesser AG in 1882 as a rolling shutter factory. The company, which has been owned by the Strässle family for four generations, specializes in developing and manufacturing innovative solar shading solutions.
