Graphic Packaging wins WorldStar Award 2023
St.Gallen/Kirchberg - The St.Gallen-based company Graphic Packaging International (GPI Swiss) has won a Worldstar Global Packaging Award 2023. It was presented in the medical and pharmaceutical category for a test kit from LockCon, another company located in the canton of St.Gallen.
Graphic Packaging International (GPI) Swiss AG from St.Gallen is one of the winners of this year’s Worldstar Global Packaging Award 2023 from the World Packing Organisation (WPO) in the medical and pharmaceutical category. The winners were honored at a gala during the international trade fair interpack in Dusseldorf.
An award was given for a urine and blood test kit from LockCon based in Kirchberg in the canton of St.Gallen that was manufactured by GPI Swiss AG. According to a press release from GPI Swiss, this packaging was specially developed for blood and urine samples in sports, which is why it has been designed to meet the highest safety requirements. Both companies are “extremely pleased to receive the coveted packaging award.”
The WPO has been organizing the competition since 1970. It is the most important global award for packaging and is bestowed every year for solutions that have won a national award across a wide range of categories. GPI Swiss AG has already won several Worldstar Awards in the past.
