New Edelweiss Fenster production facility in Münchwilen
Münchwilen TG/Wil SG – The new Edelweiss Fenster AG window manufacturing facility is now operational. The recently finished factory located in Münchwilen houses one of Switzerland’s most rapid production lines for the company to manufacture plastic windows.
The new Edelweiss Fenster AG production facility in Münchwilen in the canton of Thurgau has been in operation since January 2021. According to a press release, this factory houses one of the most modern and rapid production plants for plastic windows in Switzerland. In addition, an innovative energy concept has been implemented to facilitate environmentally friendly production processes.
Edelweiss Fenster AG opted to invest in the construction of a factory measuring 100 meters by 25 meters in Switzerland, a move which runs counter to the trend towards relocating production processes to low wage countries. “Thanks to the latest technology and a clear strategy, the new building will help us to consolidate our position as a producer of high-quality windows”, comments CEO Walter Koller on the website of the window manufacturing firm located in the St.GallenBodenseeArea. Despite the extensive degree of automation at the new factory, the company has actually created six additional jobs in Münchwilen.
“Plastic windows are in high demand across Switzerland”, states Koller in the press release, adding: “And many customers demand windows that are produced locally. With our new manufacturing facility, we will be able to serve our clients and re-sellers even more effectively and more individually”.
