Durot Electric moves into new headquarters

Mörschwil SG – Durot Electric is doubling the area of its development center. The electromobility and engineering specialist has moved into its new headquarters in Mörschwil in the canton of St.Gallen.

Founded in 2017, Durot Electric offers development services for engineering and electromobility. The rising prevalence of electromobility and increase in norms applicable for the electrification of vehicles and machinery have led to a growing demand for Durot Electric’s services, as the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea outlined in a press release. The company therefore decided to double the area of its development center, by moving its headquarters to a newly erected building in Mörschwil.

“Electrification is new territory for some of our customers. Others lack the required capacity or experience to swiftly operate according to the norms,” said Fredi Durot, founder and Board member of Durot Electric. The company highlighted that this is particularly the case for functional safety, which is why the newbuild contains a new dedicated department for this field. “It is only to a limited extent possible to transfer expertise in functional safety, known as FuSi among the developers. Engineers specializing in this field have to examine and understand systems as a whole, which calls for extensive practical experience,” explains Fredi Durot.

The company’s headquarters were in Diepoldsau in the canton of St.Gallen, when it was founded in 2017. They later moved to St.Gallen and are now in Mörschwil.
