Complemedia and Arnia Partners targeting joint growth

St.Gallen/Lachen SZ - A group of investors advised by Arnia Partners from Lachen has acquired a stake in the golf media platform Complemedia AG. The aim is to further expand Complemedia’s strong position within the Swiss golf community at the same time as driving its expansion in the German market.

(CONNECTArnia Partners, an owner-managed investment company based in Lachen in the Swiss canton of Schwyz, has acquired a stake in Complemedia AG in conjunction with a group of investors. According to a statement, the St. Gallen-based company is seen as “Switzerland’s leading golf media and advertising platform”. It operates 172 digital advertising screens on 81 golf courses in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The company also runs the online forum Golf.ch and the golf magazine “Fore”.

With this partnership, Arnia Partners and Complemedia are striving to further strengthen the market position in Switzerland while simultaneously accelerating expansion plans across the German-speaking DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region. In particular, there is a distinct focus on the German market, where approximately 725 golf clubs and nearly 700,000 registered golfers offer considerable growth potential. The starting point for these expansion plans is a total of seven golf courses in the German states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, where Complemedia already has advertising partnerships in place.

“With Arnia, we are gaining an entrepreneurial partner who shares our ambitions and will support us with the consistent implementation of the next phase of our development. Our goal is to bring the Swiss golfing community even closer together, create added value for golf courses and partners, and expand our solutions in Germany as well”, as Urs Augustin, founder and CEO of Complemedia AG, explains in the statement.

To ensure continuity for employees and partners, Urs Augustin will continue to be responsible for operational management of the company. Jacques Engeli, the previous Chairman of the Board of Directors, will also remain with the company as a shareholder. ce/ja
