Cicor acquires two production sites from Valtronic
Wil/Cleveland/Berrechid - Cicor has signed an agreement to acquire two Valtronic production facilities in the USA and Morocco. With these acquisitions, Cicor has secured a first location in the USA, in addition to strengthening its capacities in Morocco and its medtech business in general.
(CONNECT) According to a press release, the Cicor Group signed an agreement on October 27, 2025, to acquire a couple of production facilities of Valtronic, a medical and industrial engineering firm from Les Charbonnières in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. With the integration of the newly acquired sites in Cleveland in the US State of Ohio and Berrechid in Morocco, the group is consolidating its strategic alignment as a supplier in demanding end markets, which now also includes North America.
This transaction will see Cicor generate additional sales of at least 20 million Swiss francs, which could potentially be doubled thanks to key new customers in the US business. The good condition, strong local management and existing production capacities in Cleveland mean that this facility is able to handle orders worth well in excess of 40 million Swiss francs, as Cicor explains in the press release. The acquisition of the Cleveland site is also an economically attractive solution to meet Cicor customers' desire for US-based production activities.
At the same time, the acquisition of the Valtronic site in Morocco, which is located in the same building as Éolane Morocco, which Cicor acquired in spring 2025, will enable Cicor to double its local production capacities. By increasing these capacities, Cicor is aiming to satisfy increased production demand on the part of an industrial engineering customer that joined Cicor through the integration of Éolane.
In the coming months, Cicor plans to advance the integration of the two sites into the company network, harmonize technical interfaces and optimize production processes. The transactions are not expected to have any impact on the company's balance sheet or EBITDA margin.
Cicor is globally active as a supplier of end-to-end electronic solutions, covering aspects such as research and development, all the way through to production and supply chain management. Around 4,400 employees in 13 countries serve customers in the medical, industrial, aviation, defense and aerospace sectors. ce/ja
