Bühler agrees global partnership

Uzwil SG – The Bühler Group, which is active in the field of process technology, has expanded its collaboration with Premier Tech from Canada. The global partnership will provide Bühler with access to packaging technologies for the food industry.

Bühler agreed a collaboration with Premier Tech just under a year ago. The Canadian company develops packaging technologies for the grain and food market. This close cooperation will provide Bühler with access to the technologies developed by Premier Tech.

“The global partnership will serve customers worldwide”, comments André Noreau, CEO of the Systems and Automation business unit at Premier Tech, in the press release. He adds: “They will be able to build on Premier Tech’s recognized know-how in the field of automated packaging technologies while making full use of Bühler’s strong international sales and service network”.

The new joint venture PT-Bühler will officially start operating in China on July 01, 2020. Both partners have a 50 percent stake in the company. PT-Bühler is set to develop new, cost-effective packaging solutions for the food and animal feed markets. “Customers will benefit from significantly more efficient, and even more accurate and food-safe packaging solutions thanks to automation technologies developed by PT-Bühler”, explains Johannes Wick, CEO of Bühler’s Grains & Food division.
