Böörds AG receives Swiss Label

Widnau SG - The start-up böörds has successfully received Swiss Label certification, which means it can use the corresponding logo when marketing its food packaging sealing system.

According to a press release, böörds AG, a start-up based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has been certified by the Swiss Label organization. The “strict certification process” included publishing all detailed product information and having the company’s product and packaging meet all requirements. Böörds AG has developed a product called the Tütenhüter (bag saver), which is a system for sealing all household packaging. It can withstand freezing and is leakproof.

Christian Diethelm, co-owner of böörds AG, is quoted in the press release, saying: “The guidelines and requirements for certification are very strict and comprehensive, but we are delighted to be selected and are particularly happy to have fulfilled the requirements across all areas, such as production site, raw material procurement, social engagement, and ecological value.” Diethelm developed the Tütenhüter together with Sandra Gschwend, who is also a co-owner. Manufacturing takes place in Berneck SG. Gschwend adds: “We were committed to Switzerland as a production site from the start. This label further supports our philosophy.”

The collaboration between the Swiss partners has also meant that production could still continue during the lockdown. Now the Swiss Label can be used to drive sales abroad as well.
