Bischoff Textil welcomes Thai Princess to St.Gallen
St.Gallen/Bangkok - Bischoff Textil AG welcomed Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Among other things, Her Highness took an interest in the company’s embroidery collection. Through its joint venture Bischoff Gamma, Bischoff Textil has also had a presence in Thailand for over 30 years.
(CONNECT) Bischoff Textil AG received a royal visit in mid-May: Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand visited the St.Gallen-based textile company together with a delegation and the Thai ambassador.
According to the company, the visit had been scheduled for 45 minutes and ultimately lasted about two hours. The delegation gained insights into the development of the St.Gallen embroidery industry and the Princess was particularly interested in Bischoff Textil’s embroidery collection, which the company claims is the largest private collection in the world.
“It was a great honor for us to welcome the Princess,” said CEO Gwen Aubry. “We were able to show ourselves at our best.” The visit was also reported in the Thai media.
Bischoff Textil has been developing and producing high-quality embroidery for the international fashion market as well as for medical and technical textiles for over 90 years. The company has been collaborating with Gamma Textile Mfg. Co., Ltd. for over 30 years through their joint venture, Bischoff Gamma (Thailand) Ltd., where a large portion of the embroidery for the fashion market is manufactured. ce/as
