BenLink and Alfa Laval enter into strategic partnership

Uzwil SG/Lund - The Swedish technology firm Alfa Laval is joining forces with BenLink. This partnership with the technician crowd platform owned by the Bühler Group will serve to improve services in the food and energy industries.

The Swedish technology company Alfa Laval will in future have the global crowd platform from BenLink at its disposal. The company, which specializes in solutions in the areas of energy, environment and food, is headquartered in the city of Lund in the southern tip of Sweden. According to a press release, it has now agreed a strategic partnership with the subsidiary of the Bühler Gruppe based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea. The aim of this collaboration is to improve the range of services offered by Alfa Laval. The emphasis here will be on the food industry as well as selected energy applications for heat transfer technology.

Alfa Laval, which operates across more than 100 countries, will be able to use the BenLink platform to book technicians for on-site assignments. This saves the company’s own staff from having to make the journey. As such, it helps to save time, cut costs and reduce environmental pollution as well. According to the press release, the BenLink platform comprises a network of over 4,000 qualified local field service technicians in Europe, the USA and India. They are all qualified and specially trained in skills of relevance to Alfa Laval.

Over the past 12 months, BenLink and Alfa Laval have “built a strong relationship”, comments Riccardo Semadeni, CEO of BenLink. This partnership will facilitate the expansion of BenLink’s global service offering and enable it to tap into new industry segments. “With this collaboration, combining our technical expertise with their network, we will get more ‘feet on the street’ and will be able to deliver high quality service and maintenance even closer to our customers”, explains Nish Patel, President of the Food & Water division at Alfa Laval, in the press release.

Alfa Laval operates on a global basis in the areas of heat transfer technology, centrifugal separation and fluid handling. The company employs 16,700 staff overall and generated total sales of approximately 4 billion euros in financial year 2020.
