Fourth generation takes over at Rausch

Kreuzlingen TG – The brothers Lucas and Tom Baumann have taken over the majority shareholding at the cosmetics manufacturer Rausch AG. Their father Marco Baumann will retain a connection to the company by way of a minority stake.

Rausch AG is seeking to continue its commitment to “the unique power of herbs” as the company transitions to the “fourth generation of management” in the form of Lucas und Tom Baumann, as detailed in a press release. The herbs form the basis of care products for the skin and hair developed by the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea. The two brothers have taken equal stakes to acquire the majority shareholding in Rausch from their father Marco Baumann, who managed the company from 1974 to 2016. He will now step back from his role of Chairman of the Board, but will retain a minority interest in the company. Peter Muri, a current Board Member, will succeed Marco Baumann as Chairman.

“It brings me great joy to pass on and entrust the mantel for managing this traditional company to the next generation of my family to lead the Rausch brand into the future”, comments Marco Baumann in the press release. Lucas Baumann returned to work at Rausch back in 2012, initially as Head of Marketing and Communications, before becoming CEO in 2016. He will retain these positions. Tom Baumann serves as a Member of the Board.

Lucas Baumann was quoted in the press release, commenting: “Drawing on more than a century of experience, we extract the natural active ingredients from hand-picked herbs using our own processes, transforming their power into usable products for our customers”. Environmental compatibility and sustainability are a matter of course for the company. “We will align the Rausch brand even more strongly with the needs of our target groups and lead the company into the digital era”, Lucas Baumann adds.
