Bauwerk Parkett renews commitment to circular economy

St.Margrethen SG – The flooring manufacturer Bauwerk Parkett has been successfully cradle to cradle recertified. All products produced in St.Margrethen correspond to this circular economy standard.

Bauwerk Parkett has maintained cradle to cradle standards, according to a statement. It has now renewed its commitment to the circular economy. Following the company's recertification, all products that are produced in St.Margrethen meet cradle to cradle standards.

According to the company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea, the cradle to cradle product standard has five decisive qualities: material health, recyclability of materials, renewable energy and CO2 management, responsible use of water and social fairness. These criteria aim to secure a waste-free economy and achieve consistent recycling.

“All of the components used in production must be fed back into the organic cycle or remain and be reused in the technical cycle without any loss of quality,” explains Bauwerk Parkett. For two of its products – Cleverpark Silente and Multipark Silente – the company is the only wood flooring manufacturer to possess the Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold certificate.

“Corporate social responsibility is very important for us,” comments St.Margrethen head of operations, Patrick Signer, in the statement. “This is why we had our products certified and then re-certified. We are engaging for man and nature to leave behind no burdensome footprint.”

Bauwerk Parkett is a traditional Swiss company focused on reliability and precision. Around 60 per cent of its products are manufactured in St.Margrethen. It also has plants in Lithuania and Croatia.
