Baumer awarded for top innovation
Frauenfeld – The sensor manufacturer Baumer has been named as one of the winners of the Top Innovations 2021 decided by the trade journal inVISION. The company received this award for its VeriSens SmartGrid.
Baumer developed its VeriSens sensors to control robots. These sensors also allow the functionalities of robots used in production processes to be expanded. In addition, the VeriSens SmartGrid, for which a patent application has been submitted, makes commissioning robots equipped with VeriSens sensors more straightforward. A product developed by the sensor manufacturer, namely its VeriSens SmartGrid, has now been named as one of the Top Innovations 2021 by the trade journal inVISION, as detailed in a press release issued by the company based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea.
“This award for our innovative SmartGrid by an expert jury of such a renowned trade magazine as inVISION makes us very happy and once again proves our high competence in the field of industrial image processing and vision guided robotics”, comments Marc Guthörl, Chief Technology Officer, in the press release.
The trade journal inVISION focuses on themes such as image processing and 3D measuring technology. It has now awarded the inVISION Top Innovations for the seventh time. For this, an expert jury was formed to select developments that are “particularly pioneering or innovative”. According to the Baumer press release, it was “the possibility of pushing technical boundaries with the product” that was key to the VeriSens SmartGrid winning this award.
