Baumer protects cameras
Frauenfeld – The sensors manufacturer Baumer has unveiled additional solutions to protect inspection cameras. The flexible lens protection system and modular housing accessories offer protection against steam and bacteria.
Baumer produces cameras for inspection tasks in the food and pharmaceutical industries. To remove dirt and bacteria, all components used in such highly sensitive areas are constantly cleaned with aggressive cleaning products or steam. Now, Baumer has unveiled a series of solutions to protect the cameras from both dirt and the cleaning solutions, announced the sensor technology specialist from the St.GallenBodenseeArea in a statement. By expanding its range of protection systems, Baumer lays claim to "the most extensive camera accessory portfolio on the market".
There is a whole range of products. For cameras that already have a protective housing, Baumer is offering a lens protection system available in two diameters. Also available is a modular system with combined protection for lens and housing. While the solutions are designed to offer protection against cleaning products, Baumer also offers a housing that is sealed against dust and high-pressure water as well as steam jet cleaning.
Another advantage of Baumer’s accessories portfolio is that one camera model can be equipped to suit different applications. Baumer’s inspection cameras are for example deployed in machine manufacture and the automotive industry, according to the company.
