AMAG award goes to Griesser AG

Cham/Aardorf - Griesser AG with headquarters in Aardorf in the canton of Thurgau has won AMAG’s Family Business Award, which the Swiss car dealer uses to honor family-owned, sustainable companies. Griesser specializes in the development and production of shutters.

According to a press release from AMAG, a car dealer based in the canton of Zug, this year its Family Business Award has been won by Griesser AG. The family-owned company with headquarters in the St.GallenBodenseeArea beat the two remaining finalists, CTA from Münsingen in the canton of Bern and Nachbur from Holderbank in the canton of Solothurn. AMAG has provided all three finalists with a fully electric Skoda ENYAQ SportLine iV for a year. As the winner of the Family Business Award, Griesser AG can keep this car after the year has ended.

Griesser AG was founded by Anton Griesser as a roller blind factory in 1882. The company owned by the fourth generation of the Strässle family specializes in the development and manufacture of innovative shutter solutions. The press release describes sustainability as a cornerstone of the company. On a social level, this is expressed “in the respectful and responsible approach across all hierarchy levels”. On an environmental level, Griesser has set itself the target of making all of its production sites climate-neutral by 2035. Furthermore, the 400 vehicles in the company’s fleet are to be switched to alternative drive systems like electric by 2030. 

Griesser COO Pascal Strässle commented in a press release from Griesser regarding the award ceremony: “The Family Business Award stands for AMAG’s exemplary values for sustainability and social responsibility. We are proud that Griesser is carrying forward these values with the award.”
