AMAG presents finalists of the Family Business Award
Cham - Lantal Textiles, Felco and Camion-Transport have made the final of this year’s Family Business Award. The award, sponsored by AMAG, recognizes particularly sustainable and value-oriented family businesses on an annual basis.
(CONNECT) Lantal Textiles AG from Langenthal in the canton of Bern, Felco SA from Val-de-Ruz in the canton of Neuchâtel and Camion-Transport AG Wil CT based in Wil in the canton of St.Gallen have made the final of this year’s Family Business Award, as detailed in a press release issued by AMAG. The group, which primarily operates in the automotive sector, honors a family-owned company that demonstrates particularly sustainable and value-oriented practices each year. This winner for 2025 will be announced on September 10 at the Kursaal in Bern.
Lantal Textiles was founded in 1886 in Langenthal in the canton of Bern as a linen producer for the production of Emmental cheese. Today, the family-owned company specializes in the production of carpets and fabrics for the interiors of aircraft, trains and buses. According to information from the company, the yarn for Lantal’s polyamide carpets is recovered by recycling discarded fishing nets. In the press release, Lantal garners praise for bringing “textile expertise from the Oberaargau region to the world”.
Felco SA, founded in 1945, manufactures tools, accessories and equipment for use in the garden. The company is “known around the world for high-quality cutting tools made with Swiss precision”, as the press release states. The company explains on its website that the tools are 50 percent made from recycled materials. In addition, the company values aspects including repairability and replaceable components.
According to the press release, Camion-Transport AG has stood for “reliable logistics and a pioneering transport system combining road and rail since 1925”. The company’s commitment to the environment is enshrined in its corporate vision. Accordingly, Camion-Transport strives to pursue an environmentally friendly and resource-saving approach. ce/hs
